The following positions remain unfilled and according to the Guild’s Constitution may be filled by a Board appointment. Should any member be interested in serving on the Board for 2011 in one of these positions, please contact the Guild at librariansguild@hotmail.com

Rank and File Steward, Central Library

Handles grievances on the local level; reports to the Chief Rank and File Steward on issues and situations

Note- Chief Stewards provide training and assistance.

Duties of the Stewards

(from Article VII, Section 7 of the
Librarians' Guild Constitution)

The duties of the stewards shall be to handle grievances
and communicate with membership regarding union affairs.

The duty of the chief stewards shall be to advise the
stewards, present grievances to the executive board,
maintain a file of grievances and communicate to the
stewards the results of the executive board meetings.
