Update on L.A. City Employees Retirement System
Proposed Changes:
While the retirement proposal that was voted on
in 2003 was defeated, there is still hope that an
improvement to the retirement plan can be developed.
The Coalition of City unions is still working on making
some enhancements. LACERS members at City Hall and in
the field are passing around a petition asking for an
improvement, but any proposal would have to be negotiated.
